Advent Children

Sadness, was the price for the planet to be saved.

Remember this not so far away film sequel that was more anticipated than any Harry Potter or Star Wars film!? We laughed, we cried, we are still trying to figure out why Cait Sith had a Scottish accent. Anyway, for our lovely heroine, Ms. Lockheart, this sequel allowed viewers to truly understand her character. We were able to see a Tifa in an intimate setting where she took care of little Marlene like her own child, and argued with stubborn Cloud to forgive himself and to understand that he can still be a hero because it's his destiny.

Look at Denzel. He's trying hard to fight it.
Why can't you do the same? Why are you running away?
We could try our best to help each other!
...Can't do it since we're not a real family?

I can't...
...I don't think I can save anyone.
...not family, not friends.
...No one.

Tifa is important in this film for two primary reasons: Firstly, Barret is away searching to find himself, so he gives Marlene to her in trust. Secondly, she becomes Cloud's means of support as he continues to close his heart to others. Tifa now has a new Seventh Heaven bar and takes care of Marlene when Barret is not around, as well as some orphan children. Marlene and Tifa head over to the old memorable church; it is here when that crazy Loz guy barges in looking for "Mother". Tifa immediately keeps Marlene out of harm and attempts to get rid of Loz. Even though she was doing really well in the fight, Loz injured her terribly with his weapon. Marlene is taken and this devastates Tifa; when Cloud arrives she has only the strength to yell Marlene's name.

Tifa is as optimistic as ever in this. She tries to reason with Cloud and to help him understand that he can get through anything because she and everyone else will always be there for him. When she learns that he is affected by Geostigma, she gets upset because she doesn't want him to give up. Cloud has a typical response. It is not until the very end where he finally realizes that he is not alone and never really has been.

You're running again! I know you are!
Even if you find the children, you might not be able to do anything.
You might lose them, You're scared of that, aren't you?
But you have to react now!
A burden? Well there's no helping that! you have to deal with it!
Unless you want to live all alone...
You don't want to be alone, do you? I can tell,
even though you never answer your phone, you always have it with you.

These vital conversations show that Tifa never gives up. she confronts every situation with strength of mind. she is feminine, modest and gentle. She can maintan a calm and difgnified exterior but is not afraid to be a little vulnerbale at times so she can express some kind of emotion. She always puts others before herself and this is why she is a true heroine.
